Made in the 1960’s this Mobili Besana piece is one of the very few in Australia and they are EXTREMELY rare to find. This is the first time in 5 years I have seen one, and I see 1000’s of pieces every week. This piece is simply divine’s and frankly I am tempted to take it home! Made using Rosewood and teak for a deep rich colour, this piece has 2 sliding doors, one hinged door and 4 drawers. 

This sideboard / buffet / credenza has gone through a considered conservative restoration to ensure the piece maintains its beautiful vintage patina. The legs have been re-glued for stability, and a new handle created and colour matched for one of the drawers so that it’s indistinguishable from the others. This piece has a few signs of character from its past, but overall this piece presents beautifully, and a full restoration was not warranted and would have devalued this special piece.

Condition is documented at the time of sourcing and every restoration decision is made to preserve the original character of the piece.

Restored pieces: finish stripped, surface repaired, refinished in period-correct oil or lacquer. All drawer runners run smoothly and hardware adjusted where required.

Painted pieces: mid-century form finished in deep considered colour. Each piece has multiple coats applied of primer, paint and top coat to ensure a durable professional sprayed finish.

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted on furniture. If a piece arrives damaged or materially different from its description, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will resolve it. Given the value of our pieces our couriers have shipping insurance which is included in your delivery fee.
